I recently gave up the idea of reconstructing the previous content using suggestions from my hosting service. I spent hours going down numerous rabbit holes with hopes of a comprehensive recovery. I was able to download about 3.6 GB of WordPress content. It was basically a huge pile of bricks. After viewing and downloading a couple tables from the MySQL DB, I was able to extract relationships between categories, image names and their captions. This provided a blueprint from which I am now putting Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Starting over is an unavoidable and never ending fact of life. Things break and loved ones pass. We mend, we heal and we learn. In this case, I lost a stupid web site. It really sucks but it’s just another bump in the road.
